Mewbot is a good bot, and if competitive battling is your thing it's hard to beat. If you're after something that plays a bit differently, here's what PokeCom is like.
Mewbot is best known for its battle system, Doubles in particular. It also has breeding, a global market, live auctions, fishing and its own Radiant recolors.
PokeCom puts more weight on collecting and keeping your server busy. Pokémon spawn as people chat, every battle turn is drawn as a scene, there's a campaign across nine regions, and event Pokémon come in numbered runs that eventually sell out.
Both are free, and plenty of servers run more than one Pokémon bot.
| PokeCom | |
|---|---|
| Catching | Pokémon spawn while your server chats. Incense gives you a burst of extra spawns. |
| Battles | 1v1 up to 3v3, including 3v1. Each turn is drawn as a battle scene. |
| Single player | Gyms, the Elite Four and the Champion in nine regions, then the Battle Tower. |
| Trading | Direct trades, a market shared by every server, and auctions other servers can bid on. |
| Breeding | Egg groups, IV inheritance with the Destiny Knot, twins, mutations and shiny eggs. |
| Fishing | Cast, fight the fish, upgrade your rod and collect trophies. |
| Events | Costumed Pokémon every season and limited numbered runs like #003/500. |
| Other stuff | Daycare, jobs, a berry garden, Poffins, collectible trainers and badges. |
Add PokeCom and run @pokecom start to pick a starter. Pokémon start showing up as people talk. It runs fine next to Mewbot, so you don't have to remove anything.
If you want to look around first, there's the event Pokémon gallery, the How-To Guide and a comparison of the main Pokémon bots.
